- Windows 11 upgrades - Windows 10 officially reaches its "End of Support" on October 14, 2025, meaning Microsoft will no longer provide free security updates, bug fixes, or technical support after this date. While your computer will continue to function, it will become increasingly vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 11, or replacing devices that don't meet the requirements for a current Windows release.
What Happens After October 14, 2025?
- No More Security Updates: Your Windows 10 device will no longer receive free security patches or bug fixes from Microsoft, making it more vulnerable.
- No Technical Support: Microsoft customer support will not provide technical assistance for Windows 10.
- Continued Functionality: Your computer will still work, but it will not be supported.
